The Environment Agency’s 15-year monitoring review examines the Thames Estuary 2100 adaptive plan. Its summary describes functioning defences alongside the need for investment and better tidal forecasting as sea level rises.

A defence working now does not establish that the same infrastructure will be sufficient for every future condition.
