A larger count can accompany a lower prevalence
FAO reports about 309 million undernourished people in Africa in 2025, with prevalence around 20%. Asia’s corresponding figures are 292 million and 6%.
The counts and percentages answer different questions. A prevalence needs a population denominator; a count alone cannot show how common a condition is.

Compare your reasoning with guidance
Africa: 309 ÷ 0.20 ≈ 1,545 million. Asia: 292 ÷ 0.06 ≈ 4,867 million. The source counts and rates are rounded, so these calculations cannot recover exact population estimates.
